SAN FRANCISCO, May 9, 2026. deepidv, the cryptographic verification engine and agentic compliance suite, has been admitted as a member of the Age Verification Providers Association (AVPA), the global trade body representing privacy-preserving age assurance technology providers. The deepidv membership profile is live at avpassociation.com/member/deepidv.

Founded in 2018, AVPA is the not-for-profit global trade association representing 35 independent providers of age verification, age estimation, and age inference solutions. Its membership includes Yoti, Shufti, Persona, and k-ID. AVPA represents the industry to regulators worldwide and has played a central role in shaping age assurance frameworks under the UK Online Safety Act, the EU Digital Services Act, Australia's Social Media Minimum Age requirement, and the growing list of US state laws now mandating age checks for online platforms.

The membership recognizes deepidv's contribution to the privacy-preserving age assurance category through its deepage product line: zero-knowledge age attestation that proves a user is over a required threshold without disclosing date of birth, name, or government ID to the relying party. The attestation is signed cryptographically and bound to the user's wallet using the ERC-5484 soulbound token standard, allowing repeat verification across services without storing new personal data with each new relying party.

"Age assurance is becoming critical infrastructure for the internet, and the privacy-preserving primitives we built into deepage need to be in the room when the technical standards get written. AVPA is that room. We joined to contribute, not just to participate." Shawn-Marc Melo, Founder and CEO, deepidv.

deepidv joins AVPA at a pivotal moment for the industry. Australia's Social Media Minimum Age requirement is in early enforcement, with AVPA having recently published a report on the rollout. The UK Online Safety Act's age assurance provisions are operational. The EU Digital Services Act now imposes age-related obligations on major digital services. Nearly half of US states have passed laws mandating age checks for online platforms. Discord co-founded the ROOST consortium in February 2025 to build open-source online safety tooling. Roblox moved to mandatory age verification globally in January 2026.

deepidv's age assurance work sits inside its broader verification engine and agentic compliance suite, which includes the verification flow used in 211 countries, the Arbiter compliance engine, the deepeye synthetic media detector, ProofCall AI background confirmation calls, and a cryptographic chain layer that produces signed and timestamped receipts for every verification event. The combination is designed to give relying parties a defensible audit trail while keeping the user's personal data inside cryptographic primitives, rather than inside the relying party's database.
